OVERVIEW

The Maxiva™ UAXT, is a new technology, high-efficiency, air-cooled UHF solid-state transmitter. The state-of-the-art design combines GatesAir’s PowerSmart® Plus / PowerSmart® 3D architecture and Maxiva UAX Compact drive to provide today’s broadcaster unmatched efficiency, performance, reliability and quality. Designed with future broadcasting needs in mind, the Maxiva UAXT transmitter is a single transmitter platform capable of DVB-T/H, DVB-T2, ATSC, ATSC Mobile DTV, ISDB-Tb, CMMB, CTTB, and other digital standards.

For pre-filter average digital power levels up to 4kW OFDM and 7.2kW ATSC, the Maxiva UAXT transmitter is ideally suited for serving broadcasters needs for highly efficient, extremely compact and easy to maintain transmitter systems. The UAXT series utilizes GatesAir platform technologies derived from the Maxiva M2X multimedia exciter, PowerSmart 3D (or next-gen PowerSmart Plus) technology, new generation AC to DC power supplies and the latest 50 Volt LDMOS amplifier devices. This powerful technology blend provides best-in-class performance with respect to transmitter RF performance, efficiency, size, and upgradeability.

Maxiva UAXTE

The new, award-winning Maxiva UAXTE range of air-cooled UHF transmitters brings instant adaptability, enhanced flexibility, and seamless migration to future digital TV standards worldwide, including the emerging ATSC 3.0 modulation.

The high-efficiency architecture of the UAXTE is also based on the GatesAir PowerSmart® Plus architecture, and it directly integrates GatesAir’s latest high-performance modulator from the Maxiva XTE exciter into its architecture, giving broadcasters an out-of-the-box solution to simplify the input and output of multimedia services via a local- or wide-area IP network. The XTE modulator integration delivers a dramatic increase in digital signal processing capability, along with enhanced real-time adaptive correction. 

The UAXTE design also breaks ground with an integrated, unified control system that eliminates the standard practice of a separate user interface for the exciter and transmitter. By centralizing control functionality into a single, modernized user interface, engineers can more easily control all settings and parameters.

  • Includes front panel LCD screen for display of transmitter parameters, including Forward Power and Reflected Power
