GatesAir Appoints Russell Darrell as Regional Sales Manager for Western Europe
Veteran broadcast transmission executive brings decades of international radio and TV experience to strengthen GatesAir’s European market presence

Darrell joins GatesAir with more than two decades of international broadcast and transmission experience spanning radio operations, broadcast system design, and transmitter sales across Europe and Asia.
In his new role, Darrell will oversee GatesAir sales activities across Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Gibraltar, Greenland, Guernsey, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and United Kingdom, partnering with longtime Central and Eastern Regional Sales Alexander Kurz to more effectively cover the entire continent. He will focus on supporting broadcasters as they modernize FM, DAB/DAB+ and television transmission infrastructure while improving operational efficiency and long-term return on investment.
Darrell joins GatesAir from Broadcast Electronics, where he most recently served as International Sales Manager. Prior to that, he held senior leadership positions with Elenos Group and Eddystone Broadcast, building extensive expertise in RF transmission systems, international broadcast operations, and customer relationship management across highly competitive global markets. Earlier in his career, Darrell managed and developed radio operations throughout Thailand and Myanmar, including station launches, studio design projects, and broadcast infrastructure development.
