GatesAir’s Maxiva VLXT-HE raises the bar for high-power digital radio. Designed for VHF Band III (174–240 MHz), VLXT-HE delivers from 2.3 kW up to 50 kW of pre-filter DAB/DAB+ power with end-to-end system efficiencies beyond 53%, all in liquid-cooled racks that cut energy use and simplify upkeep.

The Maxiva VLXT-HE transmitter platform brings together the following innovations:

• Software-defined exciter/driver with Real-Time Adaptive Correction (RTAC) for spectral cleanliness; single- or dual-drive configurations with seamless input switchover; EDI & ETI inputs standard
• Broadband Doherty power amplifiers (VHF Band III) for high efficiency and generous headroom across the band
• Hot-swappable PA modules with separate hot-swappable compact PSUs (2-of-3 redundancy per PA) to keep you on-air and speed service
• Closed-loop, high-efficiency liquid cooling with parallel, dual-redundant pumps per rack and variable-speed heat-exchanger fans
• Automatic daily airflow reversal at the heat exchanger and an auto-refill coolant reservoir to reduce maintenance
• High-stability GPS/GLONASS timing (10 MHz/1 PPS) standard for MFN/SFN operation; intuitive control via Web GUI, SNMP and GPIO
