Brent Whelan
Vice President, Global Services
Brent Whelan serves as the Vice President of Global Services for GatesAir, leading a worldwide service organization recognized for its deep technical expertise and commitment to customer success. In this role, Whelan oversees all global support functions, including Customer Call Center operations, Technical Field Services, Program Management, Service Parts and Repair Centers, and professional training programs. He is focused on institutionalizing lean business principles and standardized service delivery to enhance operational efficiencies and deliver innovative support capabilities to GatesAir’s global customer base.
Whelan’s career in the broadcast industry spans nearly four decades, characterized by a steady progression through technical and executive leadership roles. He first joined the organization’s predecessor, Harris Corporation, in 1987 as a Repair Technician. Since rejoining the company in 2017, he has served as Manager of Quality Assurance and Director of Services. His extensive leadership background also includes 15 years at Broadcast Electronics, where he held various executive positions including Vice President of Operations and Technical Services, and 14 years at Glenayre Electronics in key field service and repair management roles.
Whelan holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in RF Communications Technology.
